Money Managing Slot Success
Slots are more often than not a game of pure luck
and chance and with very little that can be done by the player
as far as overall strategy. But there is one key element that
trumps even strategy when it comes to success with the slots,
or with any other game for that matter. Money management is the
most important element of success in gambling and that is personified
when it comes to slots.
Slots can be a relaxing pastime but also can be
a game in which a gambler is lulled into a routine that can be
deceptive as far as his gambling bankroll goes. A gambler can
easily go well over 100 bets per hour at online slots and that
requires considerable money management skill. Otherwise even playing
at the nickel machines can be an expensive pastime.
Many players that have success with the slots do
so with different money management strategies, some of which can
become rather elaborate. Many players will use variations of the
“regression” system when they win and try and pocket
a portion of the winnings while others will bet slightly higher
amounts after a loss but not take that to the extreme of the Martingale
Theory which is double up bets until you win.
Beyond that it is a good idea to break your slots
bankroll down into time sessions where you have a certain budget
for a specific period of time, such as $50 for one hour of play.
If you lose the $50 before that hour is up you walk away rather
than chase.
Preserving your money is like preserving your arsenal
for war. You want to be able to fire when the jackpot hits for
you!
